A stark reminder that many of us in the U.S. predicted this creeping authoritarian takeover of our federal government, as well as the erosion of our social and democratic norms, nearly a decade ago. Also a sombre indictment on our media elite's blatant complicity and fascistic normalization of Donald Trump, as well as the incessant gaslighting and accusations of "alarmism" thrown at predominantly marginalized communities.
